Introducing the DCC Multicall Station 4
A three-button wireless call station that brings emergency calls, staff assist and resident check-in to any room, with a built-in pull cord and no rewiring.
Poltys Canada today introduced the DCC Multicall Station 4, a battery-powered wireless call point for Direct Care Connect DCC™. It brings emergency calls, staff assist and resident check-in together on one surface-mounted unit for resident rooms, washrooms and common areas.
Three buttons, three clear purposes
Emergency call. Residents raise an immediate emergency alarm that DCC routes to the caregivers assigned to that area.
Staff assist. Caregivers discreetly request a second pair of hands from the room without leaving the resident.
Resident check-in. Residents confirm they are up and well each day, and DCC can alert staff when an expected check-in is missed.
More than one way to call
A built-in, removable pull cord keeps an emergency call within reach from the floor or the toilet. A quarter-inch jack accepts a standard call cord or specialty cords for residents with limited strength or dexterity, including touch-plate, soft-touch pad, low-effort pressure pad, squeeze-bulb and breath-activated options.
No rewiring, no construction
The station surface-mounts without rewiring, so it can be added to an occupied room with minimal disruption. Two standard lithium cells run about two years and are replaced on site. It reports over DCC’s fully supervised wireless network, so the system continuously checks that the station is present and ready. The smooth, splash-resistant housing and wipe-clean cord suit washrooms and routine cleaning. It measures 8.1 × 12.7 × 5.0 cm and weighs 160 g.
Works with your DCC system
Alarms from the Multicall Station 4 flow through DCC to DECT handsets, the DCare Messenger app, corridor and dome lights and central monitoring. Every event is logged for reporting and response-time visibility, and the station can be added to an existing DCC deployment as coverage needs grow.
The Multicall family
For rooms that also need a time-stamped record of staff rounds, the DCC Multicall Station 5 adds a dedicated rounds button and a call cord connection. Both stations are named by button count, making it easy to choose the right one for each room.
