Introducing the DCC Contactless Fall Safety Monitor
Radar-based fall detection that needs nothing worn, charged or remembered, and records no images, now available for Direct Care Connect DCC™.

Poltys Canada today introduced the DCC Contactless Fall Safety Monitor, a room-mounted radar sensor that detects falls and sends an alarm through Direct Care Connect DCC™ without the resident wearing, charging or pressing anything.
Built for residents who cannot call for help
Pendants and call cords depend on the resident. Some residents, especially those living with dementia, remove a pendant, forget its purpose or fall where they cannot reach a cord. The Fall Safety Monitor removes that dependency by monitoring the room itself.
At a glance
Contactless fall detection. Low-power 60 GHz radar detects presence and recognizes fall events in the room.
No camera, no images. The monitor works from radio reflections and never captures or stores pictures, making it suitable for bedrooms and washrooms.
Room-level alarms. Each alarm is tagged with the room the monitor covers and follows DCC priorities, routing and escalation.
One monitor per room. Mounted on the ceiling or high on a wall, covering a range of up to 7 m (about 23 ft).
Wi-Fi connected. Reports over the community’s 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, with coverage confirmed at installation.
Part of one platform
Fall alarms from the monitor appear alongside pendants, stations, bed and chair pads and every other alarm source in DCC, so caregivers respond through one workflow and every event is time-stamped for reporting.
